/>Firstly, because this can get confusing, let me tell you who I am and how I fit into all this. My name is Jonathan, and it's due to my own stupidity that this whole mess occurred. Put bluntly: the reality we now find ourselves in was caused, in part, by the publication of a silly book I wrote one evening with the assistance of artificial intelligence. That book, Killer Kitten, is the catalyst for what I've since learned to call a Quantum Quirk, or QQ for short.

QUIRKY
A QQ is like a zip with two intertwined quantum particles at each end the "quirk" is the zip itself, the mechanism that opens a seam between worlds. However you picture it, the quantum quirk tore a hole in the boundary between fact and fiction, it’s the same sort of thing as having a hole in the back of your wardrobe that leads to a place called Banarnia. In effect, the fictional world of my imagination has, through my own actions, broken into our real reality. The false, the fake and factless fiction, has found a place among us.

Fortunately, only two characters managed to slip through from the Killer Kitten book before the Quirk closed again, and thankfully it closed quickly. They’ve been living with me for over eighteen months now. It's been an unreal, dreamlike experience and we are doing our best to get them, and the story, back to 1988, closing the Quirk.

ZOMBIE
Unfortunately, part of that forthcoming book's storyline also infiltrated our reality. One of its key elements is a method of introducing control into the minds of anyone who sees a particular kind of advert. These devices, called Beacons, can manipulate your desires, wishes, hopes and dreams, and turn you into what some might call a zombie. This is the thing we now have to try to stop.

APOLOGY
I apologise, profusely, for inventing the Beacons. They were a fictional device meant to initiate a conversation about advertising and social media, but now that the Quantum Quirk has occurred, it's all gotten rather out of hand, and the Beacons have infiltrated many minds.

I do believe there's still time to reverse these effects, but it will take time. What I’ve come up with is to utilise the Positive Energy Accelerator machines (PEA’s). I believe they can genuinely help reverse the Beacons' effects, and belief is an important factor in the equation.

THEORY
Both concepts, the Beacons and the PEA’s, were once pure fiction. But because of the Quantum Quirk I believe, if I use it to our advantage, the Positive Energy Accelerators can also move from fiction to fact and assist in the destruction of the Beacons.

Good luck and thank you for your patience.

The reality we now find ourselves in was caused, in part, by the publication of a silly book I wrote one evening with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
